His expertise seems to have been researching her competition. He proposes The Smiling And Head-Shaking Child Upon the Perfectly Balanced Scales as the god Shrue should partner with for this campaign, although Shrue severely dislikes this idea.[1]

| Chapter 21: We'd Both Go Plunging Downwards | Jeff attends the agenda meeting with Ana and Adjudicator Shrue. When Shrue's car is attacked by Love-Saints, he is the driver. Ana leaves the car to investigate the figure in the road and Jeff realizes the danger before she does. He honks and yells in an attempt to warn her away, but she doesn't hear him, and becomes the first victim. When additional Love-Saints surround the car, he acts bravely, putting headphones on Adjudicator Shrue with an anti-prayer track so she will not be influenced by their voices. He then leaving the car to try and fight them off. Ultimately, he succumbs to the Saints and is himself killed, but his efforts to allow Shrue to survive until emergency responders can come. |
